Nudge:Improving Decisions About Health, Wealth and Happiness

This is about "choice architecture" ....behavioral economics...similar to Freakonomics....it's fascinating reading about how we make decisions.

The second book of Nancy Turner's trilogy based on the journals of her great grandmother's experiences pioneering near Tucson, Arizona...unlike most sequels...this is just as wonderful and the first book! I'm looking forward to reading the final book in the trilogy:The Star Garden...thanks Kristi for the recommendation!

(Your Brain and the Neuroscience of Everyday Life)

Another book on the emerging science of how our brains work...the author also wrote The Ghost Map and Everything Bad is Good for You

The Girl Who Played With Fire

This is the 2nd of three books by a Swedish author, Stieg Larsson, who actually died, at the age of 50, before any of his books were published. The books have received many awards, but are not for the faint hearted...a lot of grisly crimes, bad language...so beware...I sort of hate to admit to reading them.

This is the first book...the last book in the trilogy, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, is due to be released in October. Larsson said he based the character of Lisbeth Salander on his idea of a grown up Pippi Longstocking....she'd have to be VERY grown up....
