Almost Pumpkin Pie (Crock Pot)

Well, tomorrow is September, school has started, and a "fallish" dessert sounds really appealing....this was from that Facebook Page...Crock Pot Girls...
This might even be a good breakfast....
Crockpot Pumpkin Custard

Spray your crockpot with cooking spray. I used a 3 quart crock pot.
Mix in a bowl:
16 oz can pumpkin
12 oz can evaporated milk (I used 1%)
2 eggs
1/2 C Bisquick
3/4 C sugar
1 t pumpkin pie spice
2 t vanilla
2 T melted butter (optional)
Pour into crockpot; cover and cook on Low 6-8 hours or on High 3-4 hours. I put mine on High about 3:15 today and by 6:15 it was perfect.

Thanks for the cute birthday present, Kendra!

I got a nice surprise today...Kendra had ordered this for my birthday and it came today...isn't this darling... a bracelet with classic Golden Books framed....when I think of all the hours spent with these books...both in my own childhood and with my kids and grandkids...it will bring me a happy feeling every time I look at it!

She got it on Etsy from Southern Heidi Belle ...she makes a lot of other cute bracelets with various themes...

Babysitting Posey....

While Kendra and Dustin were in Utah this week, we took care of Posey....we only lost a couple of pairs of shoes (sorry about the Puma's, Mark)...and a wallet....Link was a good sport about her stealing his bones...most of the time

Pioneer Day in Utah

I always though it would be great to be in Utah on my birthday...(Pioneer Day)...so this year I was! We didn't actually go to any parades...but we saw a lot of fireworks, some of which were really exciting as they started a fire on the hill behind Karl's house...and Alec made me his famous Tres Leche cake!

Fun at our Fenton's lunch!

Beautiful flowers....like that "antique" blue mason jar???....it's really a clear one with a drop of food coloring in the water (teal from the McKormick Neon food coloring set)

The most fun....we had a Photobooth!

The Gardner's beautiful yard! Thanks so much....

Wedding pies....I ordered 30 from Marie Callendar's...then the next week they went out of business! So we had to scramble a bit.
