It's been 35 years since we had snow on our lawn in Clayton, although most years there are a few times when it snows on Mt. Diablo...this last snowfall was really LOW...on all the foothills by Seeno's house...

There seems to be an excess of turkeys in the neighborhood lately...Val saw about 20 in her backyard, and we have two or three that seem to be living in the parking lot down at the office...you would think they should know to make themselves scarce at this time of year!

Fire in Clayton

There was a big plume of black smoke hovering over Clayton this morning...up the creek above Skidmore's...I walked up the "path" to the creek (along with everyone else out for a walk this morning)...the fire is in one of the old Seeno houses across the little bridge down by Lydia park. Evidently they're basically abandoned...kind of a "hang out" spot...here are some picts...I even beat Claycord!
