Brownies:
Melt 1 C butter (2 cubes) with 12 oz. chocolate chips (I did this in the microwave for 1 minute);stir until chips are creamy, then beat in:
1 1/2 C sugar
4 eggs (room temp is best, but mine weren't)
1/2 t salt
1 1/2 C flour
Bake in 9x13 pan at 350 for 20 minutes; then lower temp to 325 for another 10 minutes. Cool.
Cookie Dough Layer:
1/2 cup (1 cube) butter, softened
1/2 cup dark brown Sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
pinch of salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips(I used mini ones)
Drop by tablespoons over cooled brownie and spread carefully (wet your hands and pat gently); cut into bars and store in refrigerator.
